Is there any limit to our co-stupidity?

Most functioning groups and societies recognise the fact that different people play different roles. A sales person is not going to be like a systems analyst, and a politician is not going to be like a priest. Rules vary for disciplines and so do operating principles, morality, and adoptability.

There is little point in expecting every member of the group to be just like you. There is little point in imposing the strict morals of a teaching profession on a salesman, or a bartender.

This latest post on the rajeev2004 blog prompted me to start this blog. B. Raman has said something sensible, but here is a person reprimanding an expert for that. Even if B. Raman has made a mistake, is it sensible to flag a post like that? Is it sensible to alienate good people when they are doing their job to the best of their abilities and understanding? Are you so sure you are the expert on this matter Mr. Rajeev, even after granting that you were CAT1 sometime late 60's or 70's?

Please cast your vote in the poll. Like the famine in China in mid-20th century where everyone kept telling the bosses there was enough food for people and the bosses had no way of knowing the truth, here is one boss who has broken himself off from all ways of knowing what people think about individual posts. Let us help him.
